Great cataract outcomes depend on what happens before the first incision. In this session, Dr. Alison Early and Dr. Damon Dierker joined Dr. Nick Bruns to work through the real-world case of a premium cataract patient whose ocular surface is getting in the way. The panel covers how to separate dry eye symptoms from cataract symptoms in consultation, why biometry without surface optimization is a gamble, how MEIBO and Xiidra fit into a pre-op regimen, and where the threshold sits for proceeding with a lens option. Practical, honest, and built around the patients showing up in your chair every day.
