What Does the Pupil Have To Do with Visual Quality?

It’s easy to overlook the important role the pupil plays in processing vision. The eye is like a camera: if too much light enters, the field of view becomes overexposed. The pupil is what controls the amount of light that enters the and gets sent to the brain, which processes that light to produce images. In this mini session, Brian Szabo, DO; Eric Fazio, MD; and Nick Bruns, OD, FAAO take a closer look at the pupil, its purpose, and how it helps us determine outcomes with the Light Adjustable Lens™ (LAL®).
